About Us

About Music Den

Music Den was born from a shared passion for music between our founders and a deep desire to make quality music education accessible to everyone.

Our mission is simple: to guide complete beginners into confident, advanced musicians at their own pace. We believe that learning music should feel approachable, structured, and inspiring, not overwhelming or exclusive.

High-quality music education and well-designed syllabi can be difficult to find. That’s why we’ve brought together exceptional musicians from around the world to create clear, step-by-step learning modules that take students from beginner to advanced levels in a way that is easy to understand and rewarding to follow.

Unlike many online platforms that rely solely on pre-recorded video lessons, Music Den is built around interactive learning. We’ve created a live community where students can ask questions, share progress, receive guidance, and connect directly with experienced musicians. This community-driven approach ensures that students are not just watching lessons, but truly learning, growing, and developing confidence in their musical journey.

At Music Den, we don’t just teach music. We build musicians.

Harji Singh

My name is Harji, and I have been learning and performing tabla for over 20 years under the guidance of respected ustads. I am currently studying with Shri Yashwant Vaishnav of the Punjab Gharana.

My journey began at a young age, inspired by my grandfather, Bhai Ajit Singh Alankari, a well-known raagi who introduced me to tabla and instilled in me discipline and dedication. I have since performed across North America and learned from many accomplished artists, always with the blessings of my teachers.

For the past two years, I have been running a local academy, and my focus today is on sharing my knowledge and making tabla education accessible worldwide. Tabla has deeply shaped my life, and I hope to inspire others through this instrument as it has inspired me.

Manjit Singh

My name is Manjit, and I have been learning and performing tabla for over 20 years under the guidance of respected ustads. I am currently studying with Shri Yashvant Vaishnav of the Punjab Gharana.

My passion for tabla began at a young age, inspired by watching musicians perform at the gurdwara. What started as playing rhythms on pots and pans soon became a lifelong journey after my father bought me my first tabla set. Over the years, I have performed with kirtanis and artists across the world, working across multiple genres and expanding my musical horizons.

Today, my goal is to share what I have learned and help the younger generation begin their own journey with tabla. Having struggled to find a teacher early on, I hope to provide the guidance and access I once wished for.
