Iron Maiden - Formed in East London on Christmas Day 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, they virtually invented the Power Metal genre, and have gone on to sell more than 80 million albums worldwide. Maiden have always been very productive when it comes to picture discs and their artwork really lends itself to this format. Iron Maiden's famous mascot Eddie was created by Deryk Riggs who also worked with the heavy metal band Gamma Ray and the female tribute band The Iron Maidens for who he designed the cover for their debut album using the female version of Eddie called Edwina. The band have headlined several major events in its career, notably Rock in Rio, Ozzfest alongside Black Sabbath, Donington "Monsters of Rock", "Download" Festivals and the "Reading and Leeds Festivals."
